Integrity is telling myself the truth.

Many people claim they have integrity by saying I’m a good, decent human being. An integris life is much more than a statement- it’s walking the way I talk. It’s not about speaking your truth- it’s about telling the truth. To live with integrity is to make choices according to what I believe in and how I’m going to live.

And to go further, this means I’m not going to betray myself, I’m not going to compromise myself, I’m not going to put myself in a position or situation, or force another person to be in a circumstance where I know they’re uncomfortable in order to please me. It means I won’t hold myself or another person captive because that has no integrity. We can claim we have integrity until that very integrity is tested.

Discover the power of living an integris life – a journey of self-truth and conviction. Explore the core values of integrity as we delve deeper into the profound words of Spencer Johnson, “Integrity is telling myself the truth.”

Step into integrity and embrace authenticity as you navigate the meaningful world of relationships and dating. Discover how aligning your deeds with your words shapes the honesty within you and anchors your self-worth. We challenge you to be the person you claim to be, setting your core values as your compass. Ready to take the plunge and explore this journey toward self-fulfillment? Tune into the latest episode on the Really Personal Podcast!

Important Keys To Living An Integris Life

#1: Integrity cannot be partial.

If you have integrity, you must stand for what you believe in and own the life that comes with it. Not 30%, not 70%- give 100% all the time

#2: Your integrity is a representation of your character.

You can show who you are by what you’re willing to do or not willing to do. Integrity is that- being the same person in different situations, places, and settings. Otherwise, you’re a faker, an imposter. Regardless of your financial situation, how much or how little you make, if you’re pretending everyone knows it. People can sense it. The question is, can you?  The choice is yours- choose your character wisely.

#3: We have to remember that circumstances do not make a person, they reveal a person.

Believe me, your body knows when you did something wrong. Your mind knows you did that. Your heart, your soul knows. So don’t tell yourself under any circumstances that it was because of your childhood or pin the blame onto someone else. Don’t knock it off. Rather, make the decision to live an integris life. We have to remember that circumstances do not make a person, they reveal a person. Speak with honesty, think with sincerity, and act with integrity.

#4: We don’t need to broadcast it but to live it.

We are naturally influenced by our environment, and that includes people. People pleasing can alter our values if we allow it to. That is why being integris is a choice, and it’s one you have to make daily, often, especially when it’s not easy.
We don’t need to broadcast it but to live it, and we do so by setting boundaries, being honest with ourselves, trusting our decisions, seeing what changes need to be made, and allowing ourselves and giving ourselves the permission to act according to our values and beliefs.

#5: Integrity shines brighter in the dark.

If you stand for something, act on it, even when no one is looking. And even when people are watching, act as if they are not. Thoughts create feelings. Feelings create behaviors. Your behaviors create the outcome for your life.

Integrity is determined by what you WON’T do.
