Summer reading is the opportune time for reading. Whether it’s reading by the pool, during a road trip, in the airport lobby, or at a café with an espresso, a book in hand is greatly desired and much needed. Books just don’t stay in your hands. They take you into new worlds of learning and exploration. Navigating through the tumultuous waters of the human experience not only gives us the opportunity to walk in someone’s shoes, but also gain wisdom and understanding. The make-believe world is an escape, and boy do we need a bit of escapism this summer.
